Incorporated in 1978, Neil Marine (Pvt) Ltd was founded to complement the operations of its parent company, Neil Fernando & Company, by providing essential marine engines and parts for the boats manufactured by the parent company. As the missing link in the boating industry, Neil Marine quickly became a key player in Sri Lanka’s fisheries sector.
Since 1983, Neil Marine has been the sole distributor for the world-renowned Suzuki Outboard Motors and their spares in Sri Lanka. Over time, the company expanded its portfolio, offering a range of high-quality Inboard Marine Diesel Engines from trusted brands such as Doosan, Hyundai, and Mahindra. The company also supplies a wide range of marine engine spares, including products from Tohatsu, TMC Boat Accessories, Vetus, and Master Volt. Neil Marine operates permanent repair and maintenance facilities in key coastal locations, including Chilaw, Beruwala, Matara, Negombo, and more. The company’s network of freelance mechanics, trained by Neil Marine, extends service coverage along the entire Sri Lankan coastline.
With a vast spare parts distribution network, Neil Marine ensures availability in cities like Negombo, Colombo, Dehiwala, Beruwala, Matara, Chilaw, and Trincomalee, as well as towns across the Eastern Province such as Mullaitivu and Kalmunai. In addition to its in-house facilities, Neil Marine operates a mobile workshop that provides scheduled service campaigns throughout the island, ensuring that fishermen and marine operators receive the best possible after-sales service.
PENTHOUSE (PVT) LTD
Penthouse (Pvt) Ltd is a versatile company engaged in civil, mechanical, and electrical contracting and engineering, as well as manufacturing furniture and undertaking interior decoration projects. The company’s high professional standards, established from its inception, led to an increasing demand for its services in allied fields, sparking the need for diversification.
This led to the formation of Penthouse Interiors (Pvt) Ltd, which focuses on custom-designed furniture, wooden products, and turnkey interior projects. Located about 20 km from the capital, the factory covers 3 acres of land, with surrounding space available for further expansion. The company has a highly skilled workforce and invests in continuous human resource development, some of which is supported by national training programs.
One of the key materials used in production is rubber wood (Hevea Brasiliensis), a renewable resource sourced from local rubber tree plantations. Rubber trees are regularly uprooted and replaced, ensuring a consistent supply of timber.
The wood is chemically treated and kiln-seasoned before use, earning it the nickname ‘Asian Oak.’ Penthouse also has extensive experience in fitting out decks and woodwork for fiberglass boats. These boats are manufactured by the parent company and sent to Penthouse for fitting. The company currently specializes in fitting out sloops for the Holland market and speed boats for Norway, using only Burma teak— a high-end material for premium products. Additionally, Penthouse manufactures a variety of garden furniture using steel, wrought iron, and wood, some of which is exported. The company also has powder coating facilities at the factory, enhancing the durability and finish of their products.

Neil Marine S Foam (Pvt) Ltd specializes in manufacturing Polyurethane Foam products such as cushions, sheets for upholstery, and mattresses. The company also produces Styrofoam products, including sheets used for insulation and fish boxes primarily for the live fish export industry. In addition, with the growth of the garment sector, the company has become a significant supplier of shoulder pads and bra cups, vital components in feminine attire.
The factory is equipped with modern machinery, and the production is handled by skilled, qualified, and experienced personnel, often working around the clock to meet demand. This ensures high-quality production and timely delivery of foam products.
